Watchmen on the Wall

The Lord does not delay (as though He were unable to act) and is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is (extraordinarily) patient towards you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.
(II Petrus 3:9)
We have all broken God's law and sinned (Romans 3:23; 1 John 1:8, 10). God is holy but also desires to forgive our sins and extend grace to a heart that repents. The scripture says He removes our sins as far as the east is from the west (Psalm 103:12). We have redemption through His blood, which forgives sins, and the richness of His grace (Ephesians 1:7).
When we refuse faith in Jesus and don’t repent, we worship ourselves and live lives of arrogance and self-righteousness. We are leading ourselves down a dangerous path and continue to be stumbling blocks to the faith in Jesus Christ.
When we repent we worship God. True repentance is a contrite heart and broken spirit before God. When we come to God in repentance like this, He will never show us away from His presence and will restore us back to Him.
